Research interests
Generally speaking, I act as an historian of the first million years of the solar system, as the young Sun was still surrounded by a protoplanetary disk, by taking advantage of the meteoritical record (and especially that of chondrites). This involves observations, chemical and isotopic analyses of samples as well as astrophysical modelling.
A few specific research topics
- Chondrule formation: trace element geochemistry and constraints on thermal history and the nature of precursors, constraint of size, effect of collisions in the shock wave scenario.
- Transport of chondrite components: problem of the retention of refractory inclusions, of the matrix-chondrule complementarity, interpretation of the bulk chondrite fractionations (especially between carbonaceous and non-carbonaceous chondrites)
- Dust concentration mechanisms: dust/magnetohydrodynamical turbulence interaction, linear streaming instability.
