X-Ray diffraction platform

This technical platform of the IMPMC is equipped for X-ray scattering and diffraction, for applications in fields as diverse as physics and materials chemistry, mineralogy, earth and environmental sciences. The instrument pool consists of 5 diffractometers, the last having been acquired in 2010. They allow analysis on monocrystals, powders or amorphous materials, under controlled atmosphere and temperature, and under extreme conditions (high pressures). The department also carries out analyzes and studies for external laboratories, public or private, in France or abroad.
